Apple is in the limelight once again as it has announced its press event to reveal its latest iPad product lines to the public. Invites have been sent out for a press conference on October 22. Apple is known for its habit of calling an event to uncover its upcoming products.

New iPad line

The approaching Apple show will feature the newest in line for its iPad products. Reports say that the latest Macbook model will likewise be shown during the press date. People are right now eagerly awaiting the much talked about iPad Mini that has a higher resolution or retina display. The new iPad is also said to sport a new design that is slimmer and sleeker. This fifth-generation iPad is expected to make waves among Apple consumers who are now anticipating the official launching and sale of the new product.

Live demonstration

The October 22 event to start at 10 in the morning will be staged at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco where Apple usually holds its press events whenever it comes up with updated versions of its wares. The standard protocol of the show set by CEO Tim Cook may be in place where recent statistics from the company’s activities including manufacture, sale and innovation strategies are shown off before the new products are introduced. There will be video shows and live demonstrations throughout the event.

Holding events in fall

Apple is not the only electronic company that has the practice of holding events in fall. This is the usual time when manufacturers bring out their products from their shelves in time for the coming holiday shopping frenzy. During the holidays, particularly on Black Friday, people troop to stores for bulk shopping. This is the season too, when companies take the bulk of their yearly sales profit. Apple specifically stated in its e-mail invite that there is so much to cover in the event, indicating that there may be more items up for promotion in the press conference. Mac OS X Mavericks operating system for instance has been previewed in the early part of 2013, and thus expected to be released this fall. MacPro has been redesigned as well. Meanwhile there is a professional level desktop computer with slim and circular features. These two products will likely be given exposure too in the October 22 press meeting. Release date of all the products to be featured in the event is expected to be announced in the press event.

More surprises

Apple is known for its surprises. People are on the watch for other bigger announcements that might be made during the press event, or before the yearend. There are talks that Apple TV might have new upgrades and Apple smart watch may be given a debut release. All these anticipations are still with no basis however and there might be some disappointments if Apple will not be able to come up with a really huge surprise this year or even early next year.
