Twitter Music – a new app from Twitter that lets you find music

Fans of Twitter and music lovers will now have a great time using this new music app that Twitter is launching. It was announced on Thursday that Twitter would  have a new music service app, Twitter #music. It will allow Twitter users to find music recommendations based on what people are tweeting, and the user’s Twitter activities. The app will detect and search possible applicable music recommendations, which could be popular music or those coming from artists who are just starting their music careers.

Aside from bringing up music recommendations, Twitter Music app will also look for and bring up the music-related Twitter activities of the artists. Likewise, the app will also allow the Twitter user to tweet songs right from the app.

The Twitter Music app, which is the third stand alone application released by Twitter will give Twitter users a 30-second preview of songs from Rdio, Spotify and iTunes, with the latter being the default provider. This will give the user a chance to listen to the songs tweeted by fellow users and artists by navigating to #NowPlaying.

The app is available as a web app as well as an iPhone app. It is capable of offering users charts of artists who are most popular in Twitter, follow them, tweet the links to their songs, preview the songs on iTunes and listen to the whole music through Rdio and Spotify, if they are subscribers to the streaming services of these two companies.
