Verizon has announced recently that they are forging a joint venture with singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, as they present Viva Movil, a phone that is offered specially for Latinos. The population of Latinos has been rapidly increasing, which makes it easy to see how a partnership like this can develop and ultimately succeed.

Verizon, a company that deals with cell phones offers a wide array of units along with monthly plans. The company also offers the prepaid type of cell phones wherein clients are given the option to make payments for the number of minutes that they make use of the phone instead of having to pay for the regular monthly plan offered by cell phone companies.
Viva Movil has recently launched its own website along with a shopping app on Facebook, with retail stores to be emerging in the next couple of weeks. The first new stores will be launched in Miami, New York and Los Angeles. These stores will have bilingual employees among their staff, though the phones and the plans will also be the ones that Verizon offers, including the Blackberry Z10, iPhone 5, and the Galaxy S4. According to Verizon, the app on Facebook will help users to acquire phone recommendations as well as do shopping with friends. These recommendations will be based on whatever information is shared by the users on Facebook.
Jennifer Lopez – Majority Owner and Chief Creative Officer of Viva Movil
Apart from her being majority owner, Jennifer Lopez is acting as chief creative officer, as well as the brand face of what is now known officially as Viva Movil by Jennifer Lopez. She has recently announced that she will be launching 15 of the cell phone stores, together with the website of Viva Movil. The primary goal is selling the phones and the services of Verizon to the Latinos.
New York will be the location of the first cell phone store that will be opening on the 15th of June, to be followed by stores in the Miami and Los Angeles areas. Viva Movil is offering the same plans and prices as other Verizon stores and is an authorized reseller of Verizon.
According to Lopez, the Facebook page is the best way that her fans can connect to her. She adds that because of the growing Latino population, the need for them to have a place where they can go and be attended to is growing as well. This is where she would want to situate herself, where she is able to answer to that need. As a matter of fact, Lopez is really not new to the world of business as she does run her own production outfit for film and TV, and also has a perfume and clothing line. Now that she has partnered with Verizon, Lopez knows that she is running a business with a reputable wireless network that focuses on quality, top-rated service and excellent products.
